That's a good idea it won't make the game laggy if your own a low budget pc, and won't cause lag spikes with people's voice

I have a feeling it might be because hytale has mouth moving animations that could act as a voice chat thing maybe?.. just a hunch

Player and NPC mouth animations could be because they could have dialogue that has voice-overs with a tone randomizer (sort-of). But I feel that in-game VC would be a great idea. Complaints will come in as well, and you will have people very for and very against it. I am for it, but I think some servers would have the ability to toggle VC on or off in this area or that one.

Unfortunately the only toxic free game is a single player game.

I have a solution. Since a friends list is confirmed, why not have it so that only friends can hear each other? I think that would be best. Then only people you trust would be able to talk to you . I actually can't believe I came up with this idea

Just stumbled upon this thread and gotta say, the idea of in-game voice chat in Hytale sounds pretty lit! It could seriously level up the gameplay experience, making it way more immersive and social. Imagine coordinating epic quests with your crew or just shooting the breeze while exploring. It's like bringing the squad closer, y'know?

As for the omegle.fm mention, while it's cool to have options, I reckon keeping it wholesome and community-centered is key. In-game voice chat could foster stronger bonds and camaraderie among players, building a tight-knit community vibe.
