Just as the Title says. Completely randomly spawned portals which takes you to some other dimension where you can fight some kind of boss or just explore and loot. Portal disapears after a short while. The idea of a vanishing portal would make more sense than a vanishing cave with some kind of portal in it. I think this would bring a lot more adventuring and exploring to the game.

Personally, I think this is one of the entrances to a portal dungeon. There's more info on this in the concept art on the media page on Hytale's website, as well as in their new world-gen post. The portal dungeons are basically mini chalenges with specific rules, and which give rewards upon completion.
