In my opinion, the reason why Minecraft had it's own charm is because the community discovered things without any help. The reason why that game started to lose it's charm to me and a lot of other people is because of snapshots and other things like that revealing everything that was coming in an update. It is kind of destroying all the hype to explore and find all the new stuff. Then they started to also add tips and a crafting handbook and all kinds of help to the player, which ruins the experience.
This game has it's own charm to it already seperate from Minecraft, and I believe, because of that, that the game should remain mostly secretive about what we can find in it. Mystery is what makes exploring in open-world games like this.... well, exciting! It seems like Hytale is willing to reveal a lot far before release (the zones, generated structures, creatures, portals), and I know for a fact that they have tons of surprises waiting for us in the game, but I still think they should keep the majority of the game a surprise. This will even help the game generally last longer.
Anyone else agree?
