Hytale vs. Minecraft

Hello everyone in the Hytale community! Today I was interested in seeing your opinions on the two games, 'Hytale' and 'Minecraft'. How can you compare and contrast the games? Will Hytale grow as much as Minecraft did? What makes each game special ? Let me know your thoughts .

Yes, I do agree that Minecraft's time has come, I'm happy another game can keep it's legacy though.

I wouldnt say Im sad to see minecraft slowly be replaced by Hytale but rather excited because it feels like a fresh start for everyone if you get me

I feel the same way too! I don't like it very much to see one of my favorite games replaced, but since it wasn't in the best state, I'm happy to see Hytale take a step forward.

I'm IN LOVE with Hytale! Minecraft, is getting a little bit OLD of the same. Plus, they are losing popularity *sadly*. Possibly Hytale can be able to make the Minecraft reference more famous, like back in 2015. It's just my opinion, tho.

Will Hytale bring Minecraft down? Maybe.

Hytale has a lot to offer from just looking at the blogs and the trailer.
Quests, bosses, animations, easy modding, servers, mini-games and a lot more.

If Hypixel does this right it could potentially remove Minecraft from the playing field. Lets face it, Minecraft hasn't been doing well ever since Microsoft took ownership. Now that Fortnite has come out its doing even worse with all the younger audiences going to a better free option.

I doubt that Hytale will do as good as Fortnite but from looking at videos, reviews and overall comments on Hytale I can see a big community is behind the game.

Studying Games Development myself, I'm starting to understand what research must be done before releasing a game.
I'm sure that Hypixel is looking at how well other games are doing and what is the best way to release their game.

I think that Hytale could be the Minecraft we wanted, the Minecraft we deserved.

Wow! Very well thought out opinion, I really like how you compared Hytale to another game too. I also agree that Minecraft was missing a few things that Hytale has pulled off. Thanks for adding more to the subject.

Minecraft failed to give the updates and maintain what the player base wanted, I hope Hytale can give us what we want, and stay that way, just so it doesn't follow the same path.

Once Minecraft got in the hands of Microsoft, the community really did go downhill. Luckily we have another chance with Hytale.

As of now, I'd like to say Minecraft is in the lead with the majority of users playing it because of them joining onto many servers consisting of servers like Hytale for example. The thing I'd like to add on to this though is that no one knows the future reference to this so my assumption may be totally wrong. I'd like to personally give a minute and say there could be luck in the future and this server may blow up with thousands, beyond thousands of users, and even conquer Minecraft because it is a thought.

One is owned by people that care about users and actually want to be a gaming company.
The other is just a big agario eating up companies for money, that know nothing of gaming.

I mean he is I guess "rich"? from owning a Minecraft server and I wouldn't see him wanting to possibly jeopardize Hypixel (the mc server) and its playerbase/the money he makes from it.

I think Hytale will have enough differences to have a distinct change. I don't think he will have Hytale be known as the "new" Minecraft he would want it to be know as Hytale an amazing new standalone game MADE by a company also running a minecraft server. Again there is similarities between the both but I think they plan on having some things to definitely differ the two and try not the effect Hypixel (the mc server) whatsoever.

There are similarities and differences. I do think that Hytale should be considered a standalone game though

I agree, over the past 2-3 years I have seen nothing to change in the minecraft, only some stupid improvements

Yeah, Notch was the only reason Minecraft did well. I'm not a big fan of the owners right now.

I think, apart from the actual game elements, the main thing that will spark greater appeal into the community (especially in the long term) is actually listening to them and updating based on that. Nearly all of the new things in Hytale are things so many people have always asked for in Minecraft.
In fact, to prove that, nearly half of the known elements in the trailer are related to pre-existing mods in Minecraft. (The animals, for just one example)
I think as a whole Hytale will have more appeal in their community, along with being an amazing game.

True, I like to create more things, then relying on Minecraft mods. I don't hate ether games.
