I'm sure everyone has had thoughts and suggestions for this new uproaring game, Hytale. I'd like to make some suggestions of my own and welcome the millions of fans of the game to make some of theirs. Of course, I do not expect any of these ideas to make it into the actual game, but it's worth a try, right? Keep in mind the base genre of the game while brainstorming.
Regarding NPCs
- Robots, part machine beings (Steampunk Not Sci-fi)
- A mountable griffin-like creature
- Megalodon (Giant Shark)
- Merfolk
- Magic pets/minions
- Carnivorous plants
Ideas that I've had saved for future world building
- Drazners (Giant tough-skinned drill-shaped worm creatures)
- Fatalrin (Underwater creature similar to the Zarlack Pit from Star Wars)
- Lurkery (Seaweed covered sea serpent)
- Clobber (Giant hammerhead salamander)
- Terratu (Giant peaceful turtle carrying a chunk of land on its back)
- Suffod (Small green wasp-like creature)
- Scaleons (Lizard people who can shapeshift into smaller lizards)
- Karnivra (A giant Audrie II Hydra on steroids)
Regarding Themes
- Steampunk (Flying cities, machines)
Regarding Items
- Saws (More efficient than an ax)
- Drills and Chain Saws (Used for extremely efficient mining)
- Gauntlets, knife gauntlets, magic gauntlets, brass knuckles, web shooters?
- Mechs (Mechanical body suits used for different tasks, Steampunk Not Sci-fi)
- Grappling Hooks
- Slingshots
- Shurikens or some other projectile disc weapon
- Snowshoes (Maybe they could help you run faster in a high snow level environment)
Player abilities that could be granted by wielding or consuming an item or perhaps because they "learned" the ability
- Shapeshifting (Transforming into another creature)
- Telekinesis (The ability to remotely move things)
- Teleportation
- Classic Minecraft effects including speed, invisibility, jump boost, ACTUAL NIGHT VISION, etc
Regarding Avatar Customization
- More freedom to skin and eye color like red, purple, yellow
- Different face types for those derpy face lovers
- Deal with it glasses...
Regarding Things That Didn't Fall Under Any of Those Categories...
- Some form of technical engineering similar to Minecraft's redstone.
