HyCon - Community online convention hosted on Hytale (Idea)

Hello,

I had an idea for a Hytale server project for when the game is released; I'm thinking about having a community online convention hosted with Hytale. It's like any other convention in a way that we'd be able to gather large influential members of the community for meet and greets, have panels about all sorts including model making, offer exhibition space for other Hytale servers and content creators to advertise, and more. Moreover, it could even be a charity event for the community's charity of choice. It's just an idea right now, but a similar idea has been executed amazingly before on Minecraft with "Minecon Server Edition" (now CubedCon) and thought that it could maybe work equally as well on Hytale.

Let me know what you think of the idea, as we could potentially turn this into a large annual event.

not really sure on how I feel about this
I like the idea and everything but I feel like this would be something that the creators of Hytale have probably already thought about this
and will probably create an online convention or maybe a convention irl
honestly a good idea but I am sure Hytale has it figured out and will host a convention sometime over the years and it should be left to them to decide and what not
also, did you mean like having the convention on a Hytale server? if that's what you meant I am not sure how meet and greets would work in game or even online in general but it could definitely be looked into but I'm not so sure about it.
Anyways this idea isn't bad at all but I don't think we should really plan any of this and should leave it all up to Hytale to decide I mean of course we can talk about it and give Hytale some ideas on a convention and what not but yeah

Yeah, I see what you mean and the development team probably have come across the concept once or twice.

I was suggesting for the proposed community convention to be hosted on a Hytale server.

"Meet and greets" are essentially just users walking up to significantly notable people and asking for a "screenshot" and just to say hi, that's basically what happened with old Minecraft server conventions. Potentially, there could even be a signature book plugin where when you meet someone at the event, it crosses their name off a list and they can write a special message or something.

That would probably be the main reason for joining it I guess like the minecon capes.
