Hey everyone! My team is planning an analytics company for Hytale server owners called Hytale Data. Posting this thread to get some feedback on our ideas. Keep in mind that as of posting this we don't know too much about Hytale servers, so our plans could easily change before launch. However the current features list gives you a good idea of what we're aiming for.
The end goal is for our customers (server owners) to be able to use our software to grow and manage their server in terms of player count and revenue.
Income Stats
The ability to track your conversion rate, average income per player, and cost to acquire a player will help any server improve their revenue. Our income stats solution will track these and similar metrics to help server owners make more informed decisions regarding their server's advertising and costs.
Game Play Stats
Nearly all of the server owners we've reached out to so far have requested game play stats. The ability to track basic metrics such as map votes, kits selected, and map rating will allow server owners to create more content that they know their players will love. Obviously these are just a couple basic data points, so our API will allow customers to track any data point they wish to better understand how their games are played.
Competitor Tracking and Comparison
Enter any number of competing servers to view their updates, player counts, vote counts (over all voting websites), recent changes to their store (ex: rank prices or features), and more. You can even setup custom alerts for specific events. Alerts are sent via SMS, email, and/or on dashboard login. This tool will allow you to quickly and easily keep an eye on the competition.
Influencer Management
We can expect Hytale servers to use YouTubers and Twitch streams for promotion. Logging previous brand deals to better understand promotion performance will help you make better advertising decisions in the future. We also want to have a player count estimator based off of data collected from the influencer and their previous promotions. This paired with the income stats will give you an estimate if the advertisement is worth your time and money.
Projections Based off Previous Data
Once our tool has learned more about your server, we can provide projections for player count, vote count, daily new players, etc. for the next 3, 6, and 12 months.
A/B Testing
Continusly optimize the amount of clicks to your voting or shop links with our split testing tool. You can provide at least two messages and see how players react to them in auto alerts, MOTDs (if applicable in Hytale), and more. If one message is being reacted to more, then favor that one. Continue to split test to see click rates increase.
Complete Staffing Solution
Keep your staff team organized with universal chat, ticketing, and logs for your staff members over your Hytale server, Discord server, and forums.
Discord and Social Media Integrations
Manage and post from your Discord and social media accounts all in one dashboard. Pair with our "Team Member" feature (listed below) to allow admins and other staff to have limited access to these channels without sharing any passwords. This can be useful for customer support roles.
Embeddable Graphs & Charts
Embed graphs of player and vote counts on your own website for any server via an "iframe" HTML tag. Partnered server lists will be able to view only votes that specifically came from their own website.
Team Members / Sub Accounts
Give your admins limited access to your Hytale Data account without sharing any passwords. Customize permissions to limit exactly what they can and cannot do while logged in.
Developer's API
We are wanting to provide a powerful API to allow our customers to customize their experience to their server's specific needs. Track custom data points, extend the staffing functionality, and more.
Affiliate / Referral Program
We are looking to partner with Hytale related businesses who's customers are server owners. We will be offering a monthly commission for each paying custom our partners send to Hytale Data.
