As an alliance gift I bestow upon you a new economic doctrine, one that will take you far...

As a tycoon you are similar to a general, with the difference that dollar bills are your soldiers, and the market conditions are the rough terrain with many natural defensive positions. In order to be a great tycoon you must have the mindset of a great tycoon, and you must analyze the market for any advantage you find and then milk it to it's fullest. Just like in war reconnaissance (market research and contacts) are very important, as they can help you find advantages you would have usually missed. When a rival tycoon challenges you in hytale, remember that there are no antitrust laws and there is no market regulation like in the real world, so you have the power to viciously destroy your rivals using military tactics adapted to the battlefield of economics...

When you encounter an enemy tycoon that is weaker then you, lower your prices to a point that they cannot compete with, and when they go out of business bring your prices back to normal (you could frame this as a temporary sale to avert haters).

When you encounter an enemy tycoon that is stronger or of equal footing with you it is not as simple. You must immediately send out reconnaissance and occupy all the defensive positions in the market first and garrison them with managers and staff, then you must begin digging in, and when you are fully dug in goad and taunt your enemy into suicidaly attacking you while you are dug in in a defensive position to drain their resources, ensure that they become fully committed to this attack, and if they show signs of giving up feign giving ground. Once their resources are depleted and they are distracted "flank them" or attack them in their home market in a way they would never expect and in a direction they left defenseless. Then proceed to run their tycoon out of business.
